VIEW CASE STUDY

PROJECT SUMMARY

This is final thesis project at Academy of Art University. I need to present this final concept for last semester before graduation. The requirements for the final thesis is to prepare completion of visual design, coding, and motion design. I'm keep developing it and prepare for final review. Lynx is a smart backpack which is optimized for travelers to provide unique experiences. Lynx also has their own application, which enables to connect with smartphone and wearable watch including innovative features.


PROBLEMS

Solo travel has been steadily growing for years and the figure is expected to rise more in future years. They want to meet new people and want to be safe while exploring a new destination on their own, but they still experience difficulty to meet new people and be safe when traveling new places. Also, there is a new type of backpacker which is called Flashpacker, they are well-heeled youth traveler that generally totes a larger budget alongside the larger backpack and alway carry laptops and cutting-edge technologies. They want to learn cook local food, get involved in local communities and stay in accommodation that adds to the experience.


SOLUTION

My solution is using smart backpack to enjoy travel in a convenient way, interactive with new people in a unique way, and provide safe journey experiences. Smart backpack has a built-in digital scale, location tracking, attachable & detachable digital fanny pack, and application that can communicate with other Lynx users to share information and get together.
